NEW YEAR’S EVE IN SAIGON 2026: CLUBS & ROOFTOP PICKS
THURSDAY 31 DECEMBER 2026 · WELCOMING 2027
Wondering where to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Ho Chi Minh City? For Thursday 31 December 2026, welcoming 2027, we’d start with three very different nights: cocktails and a club table at PAPI, rooftop drinks that build into a party at Zion, or electronic music and a big stage at APLUS. The right pick comes down to what your friends want the night to feel like when midnight arrives.
PAPI is our social club pick, Zion is our rooftop-to-club pick, and APLUS is our electronic music pick. Each gives you a different reason to stay in one place and enjoy your group.
This is our venue shortlist for 31 December 2026, welcoming 2027 in Ho Chi Minh City. Special New Year’s Eve programmes and table packages are confirmed separately. This guide covers the December countdown, not Tết.

THREE VENUES, THREE DIFFERENT NIGHTS
Your group wants | Our pick | The decision that matters |
|---|---|---|
Cocktails, a striking interior and a social club night | PAPI | A sofa to gather around or a standing spot to keep moving |
A relaxed rooftop start that turns into a party | Zion | Arrive earlier to settle in; the club energy builds after 11pm |
Electronic music, dancing and large-scale production | APLUS | Time on the dancefloor or a table overlooking the stage |
PAPI: FOR THE GROUP THAT WANTS THE WHOLE NIGHT TO LOOK GOOD
PAPI’s amber-lit bar, deep red seating and geometric details give the room its character before the music even takes over. It feels designed for getting dressed up, ordering cocktails and having your friends around you. The ceiling and columns become part of the lighting, so there’s more to look at than a DJ booth at the end of the room.
The soundtrack moves across different party formats, including melodic and tech house alongside hip-hop nights. For 31 December, match your booking to the night’s programme so the soundtrack suits your friends.
We’d put PAPI first for friends who care as much about sharing a table and the atmosphere as spending every minute dancing. A sofa gives everyone a place to regroup; a standing position suits a group that likes to move around. Be specific about that preference before choosing a table tier.

ZION: ROOFTOP DRINKS FIRST. CLUB ENERGY AFTER 11.
Zion gives you two moods in one night. Since its October 2026 relaunch, the earlier evening is about rooftop drinks, city views and settling in with your friends. After 11pm, the energy picks up and the space shifts into a club. You can ease into the evening, then stay for the party without moving everyone to another venue.
That’s why we’d put Zion on the New Year’s Eve shortlist for a group that wants both. Arrive earlier for drinks and a catch-up above Hàm Nghi, with the city around you, then let the night build. The relaunch’s tropical setting and Asian festival theme give the rooftop its own character as the evening changes pace.
Your table position makes a difference. Choose a skyline-facing spot if the view is a big part of the occasion, or somewhere closer to the performance area if your group wants to be near the action. Think about how you want to spend the whole evening, from the first drink to the later party.
One thing we’d separate from the rooftop decision: fireworks. A city view doesn’t automatically mean a clear view of a fireworks display. If that’s essential, the confirmed display location and sightline from your actual table need to match.

APLUS: FOR THE GROUP THAT WANTS THE DJ TO DRIVE THE NIGHT
APLUS is the pick for friends who want the music and production to be the main event. The central dancefloor, surrounding VIP terraces and large LED stage give it a very different feel from a smaller cocktail-led room. Its L-Acoustics sound system is another reason electronic music belongs at the centre of the conversation.
The club placed No. 59 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs 2026. For your own night, though, the more useful question is which artist and sound your group wants to hear. House, melodic techno and broader electronic music feature across its programme; the dated lineup should decide the fit.
We’d choose APLUS when the group is ready to dance and watch a performance together. If you’re taking a table, think about the view towards the stage and how easily your group can move between its base and the floor.

CHOOSE YOUR MIDNIGHT VENUE FIRST
We wouldn’t try to fit all three into New Year’s Eve. Choose the place you most want to be at midnight, then build the earlier part of the evening around it. Moving a whole group between venues adds another arrival, another entry process and another chance for someone to get separated.
Dinner can be a restaurant meal, or somewhere that combines food, drinks and a lively start. Our dinner-to-dancefloor guide explains that choice. Keep enough room between the meal and your agreed club arrival time to enjoy both.
GET THESE FOUR DETAILS INTO THE GROUP CHAT
The real headcount. A table that accommodates ten people doesn’t necessarily give ten people a seat. Ask for the seating arrangement, not just a capacity number.
The full venue total. Get the 31 December quote, including any entry charges, minimum spend, tax and service. Ask which purchases count towards the minimum and how guests above the package allowance are charged.
The arrival agreement. Know when the table is held until, how late arrivals enter and whether leaving and returning is allowed. Keep the confirmation somewhere everyone can find it.
The journey home. Agree a meeting point and pickup plan before the night starts. If you want a driver, arrange the hours and pickup point in advance.
NEW YEAR’S EVE IN SAIGON: YOUR BOOKING QUESTIONS
ROOFTOP PARTY OR NIGHTCLUB FOR NYE?
Choose Zion if you want city views, conversation and drinks earlier, with club energy after 11pm. Choose PAPI for a social night around cocktails and your table, or APLUS when the DJ, dancing and stage production are the priority. Start with that choice, then look at the 31 December programme and table options.
SHOULD WE RESERVE A NEW YEAR’S EVE TABLE?
If your group wants a shared base, a particular seating arrangement or a specific part of the room, reserve once the NYE terms work for you. A table gives everyone a place to return to. Confirm the guest allowance and arrival deadline before the group makes separate plans; a reservation doesn’t automatically cover every form of entry.
HOW MUCH IS A CLUB TABLE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE?
There isn’t one price that fits every table. Ask for the 31 December minimum spend for your group size and preferred position, plus any separate admission, tax or service charge. Get the inclusions in writing. A regular-night menu alone won’t tell you what your NYE booking costs.
DOES BOOKING THROUGH CONNECT SAIGON COST EXTRA?
Club-only booking through Connect Saigon is free. That doesn’t make the venue bill free: admission, drinks and any applicable table minimum remain separate venue charges. Your New Year’s Eve confirmation sets out the terms for that night.
For a bigger plan, consultation and itinerary design are also free. Optional transport, VIP hosts and itinerary management are quoted separately, and you pay venue bills directly to the venues.
Send us your headcount, budget and the kind of night your friends actually want. We’ll help you narrow down PAPI, Zion or APLUS and work through the details for 31 December.
